Geezer Suite!

Just thought I'd show our new addition:

  1. Now if only the rest of the house looked so neat, clean, and organized. :)

    [Twitter pic of the day]

  2. Nice! I'd totally live there. :)

How's everyone? We're suffering from cedar fever here - top 5 worst city for allergens right now, plus another warm front. It doesn't feel like winter at all. Still, it's an improvement over snowpocalypses.

    Happy holidays!

  3. I like walk-in showers like that. If it has a drain in the floor where you can just sweep the mop water (or toilet overflow), that would be awesome. I think more residential bathrooms should have that kind of setup.

We have a slight risk of severe thunderstorms, and a tiny chance of tornadoes, today and tomorrow. At the end of December. I shit you not. But with the metric crap-ton of rain we're getting through Xmas day, it might only take a few stiff wind gusts to start knocking down trees. Fortunately, the ice storm last winter pulled down the most susceptible trees already.

So… instead of choirs of angels singing on Christmas Day, they're going to have a rave with lots of strobes and drum&bass.

    1. Tornadoes! Yikes! Hopefully they don't materialize.

The weather people yesterday said the temperatures in Ottawa are what they get this time of year in Georgia. People are wearing shorts here, lol.

  4. The addition looks great, Andi. I love walk-in showers!

The picture of the day is gorgeous. Where did you take it?

Larry, sorry about your rain. We were supposed to have snow and ice but it turned into rain and fog. Not too bad.

  5. Ooooh, that looks awesome.

Love the rich wood on the floors and built-ins and around windows, trim etc.

Looks nice and open; lots of space. Love the laundry room too -- that looks like a perfect setup.

Have you moved in yet? :D

What do the pups think of it?

  6. Maria, hope the allergens clear out soon.

Larry, thunderstorms in the forecast today here too, except ours are "likely". Shower has a drain, entire floor is has waterproofing under the tile. There's also a drain in the laundry room.

Dina, there's a little stand of dead trees that are eroding in very interesting shapes. Under the right lighting, they could play a leading part in a horror movie. :)

Candis, we moved in last weekend. Sniff is indifferent to it. Bebo seems to like it and has adjusted to "her" bed being downstairs instead of up.
