  1. Wondering if 3rd time is the charm -- the mason was supposed to be here at 9 a.m. today (after saying he would be here on Thursday and then Friday).

Also, happy last week before the move to Maria.

  2. Morning Andi,

Well the surgery didn't happen. I got re-scheduled for this coming Monday. I won't go into why it didn't happen, but lets say I was more than a little bit upset with them and myself. So now I have the whole thing to think about and fret about.

I will say there were some bright spots though. While at the place we stayed we met a couple from Australia. Twenty years ago the husband had been in high school for a year in Tuscaloosa. He and his wife were taking a vacation and came straight to Tuscaloosa. He said they didn't go anywhere else in the U.S., but just straight there. They both said how much they enjoyed it and the friendliness of the people. He was talking about immigrating right back here. I have to admit that made me feel good about my home.

Well I've got five more days until my surgery, and while there this time, I found out it will be a lot more extensive than a knee replacement. All the hardware in my right leg will be coming out. So instead of a two or three hour operation it could turn out to be five, six or seven hours. I told them I wanted to keep the metal because I think I've got enough in me to make a small car. I figure all is not bad though because it will be another adventure and I might meet more interesting people before in go into the hospital. You've always got to look on the bright side.

I hope your people showed up for the construction. I know that can be maddening when you're trying to get it done.

    Take care.

    1. Oh that is a complete bummer about your surgery. :(

But very nice about the people you met.

Yes, they did show up but foundation isn't finished yet. Crossing fingers for showing up today and finishing it.

    2. That's rough FM. It's stressful and when rescheduled it doesn't help. Nice you met some friendly folk to make it better.

    3. Yeah it is a bummer and rough, but it's just another bump in the road. I keep looking at it like this is an opportunity. I was doing some fast packing and cleaning of the apartment, so now I can take my time and make sure everything is done right. Geeze, I'm starting to feel real good about it. :)

    As usual wonderful pictures.

Hope the construction is going smoothly.
