  1. Work on the masonry is supposed to start today; so is the rain (50% today, 30% tomorrow, 70% Wednesday). :(

  2. Morning Andi,

Glad to hear the project is coming along. We're supposed to get rain here all week. Oh Boy!

I've got an appt. for a new wheelchair (W/C) fitting tomorrow. I always thought you just got a wheelchair and that was it, but I'm getting a new light weight W/C and they have to measure me. Oh Boy again.

Ya'll try to stay out of the rain as much as possible, I know I am. :)

    Take Care.

    1. It will, unfortunately, only be moving along if the weather gods are feeling kindly (and when has that ever happened). Hope the wheelchair fitting goes well.

  3. Good luck to you both!

Hopefully I get a kitchen sink today but I am trying not to count on it.

  4. Great photo and title. I hope the rain holds off there Andi but w/ those percentages it doesn't look promising. :-(

  5. Well we didn't have any rain but we didn't have the mason either. He says he will be starting today. Well seeing is definitely believing when it comes to construction.

    1. Morning Andi,

Hope the rain holds off and the mason shows up. That sort of reminds me of an old saying my grandparents used to say, "If the river don't flood and the crops come in." :)

      Happy building today.

  6. Footers poured. 80% chance of rain today but hopefully footers have cured enough that it won't hurt them.

  7. Morning Andi,

Glad to hear about the footers. BTW, what are footers? Is that like a foundation? Hope the rain holds off and the footers are cured.

    Take care.

    1. Footers are the heavy layer of reinforced concrete below the frost line upon which the whole building rests. The cement blocks go on top of it.

And Sniff just slide down the tarp covering the footers and hole dug for the crawlspace so he COULD DRINK RAINWATER out of the low spots in the tarp. I'm sure a funny movie could have been made out of me trying to get him out of there.

  8. I love your web shots -- you always capture them in such nifty ways, with the lighting and angles and even their creators. :D

    1. Thanks -- though they provide me with so many opportunities that I'd have to some successes. :)
