  1. Morning all. Bebo's still swollen so looks like a trip to the vet is in her future which she hates but then again so is a long car ride which she loves. Life is full of tradeoffs.

  2. Morning, all. Still on the face of the earth, just busy taking 1 day at a time. Too much bad news going on all over, plus some personal stuff. Sister's MIL got put into hospice over the weekend & yesterday, I got diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. Surgery for left eye is scheduled for October 14, then we'll figure out what to do next. Bah. I'm only worried/anxious b/c anything to do with my eyesight freaks me out.

Hope life is treating you all well & many good vibes to poor Bebo!

    1. Sorry about all the bad news. My mom had cataract surgery when she was 88 and she had absolutely no problems with the surgery or the recovery and there was a huge improvement in her sight. About the only thing that bothered her were the eyedrops because she had to put in her eyes at specific intervals during the day for several weeks.

  3. Heh, eyedrops, so not a problem! I already have 2 types I put in twice a day, so 1 more, not so much a big thing. :)

    1. This was 2 types that had to be put in every x number of hours that changed each week for the 6 weeks following surgery. Since the 2nd eye was done 2 weeks after the first, the number of times was different for each eye -- so a lot for an 88-year-old to keep track of (for a 59-year-old too since I actually set alarms for each one and then called her when it was time).

    2. Now that I've 6 weeks, I don't think that was right -- I think it was 4.
