  1. Morning all.

Maria, I really enjoyed your essay. It was light and fun but still conveyed real emotional heft. All the while I was reading it, I kept thinking of books you should read (if you haven't) like Robin McKinley's Sunshine and Holly Black's Coldest Girl in Coldtown or all of Nancy Collin's Sonja Blue books.

  2. I was half expecting Sniff to be inspecting a more personal "back of beyond" for some reason…

It's past 7:30 and Mason isn't up yet. I guess I'd better get him moving before he soaks the bed or something.

I am now living in my production checklists until the end of the month. Fun times.

  3. Thanks, Andi! I've read Sunshine & a couple of the Sonja Blue series, but not Holly Black's book. Definitely will check it out. ;)

GORGEOUS weather here toay - perfect spring. Sunny and high in low 70s. The pollenpalooza, though, still in high gear.

    Happy Monday!

  4. Larry, I was thinking the same thing. Andi is obviously higher minded than us!

  5. Love it. :)

Just got back from cottage -- the trees there appear to be in same state as those in your photo (mostly bare, just beginnings of leaves).

    1. That puts almost 3 weeks behind us. I'm really surprised at that.

  6. I have to admit, Larry and Dina, that it never occurred to me; mainly because I thought the way I framed the picture made it look like he had turned his back on the hollow but also because he's old and has got arthritis and that kind of activity can only happen now when he is lying down.
