  1. Morning all. Well, we certainly had a wintry mix yesterday -- freezing rain, sleet, more freezing rain, more sleet, and finally about 2-3 inches of snow. Fortunately, the freezing rain was very light. Hope Dina and anybody else getting this weather got off lightly too.

  2. Hah, there's a dog for you… seafood diet!

The Boy actually got his car running, after a fashion, yesterday. They forgot to tighten the distributor, so the timing got thrown off, then it overheated (might need a head gasket). The final missing piece was a new ignition coil, something else I told him to look at 2 weeks ago. :-D Oh well. If he doesn't listen, he just takes after his mom's side of the family (all of them).

Wet and foggy here. Nothing out of the ordinary for early March. We have a 10% chance of "freezing drizzle" here tonight, whatever the #3|| that's supposed to mean. Oh well, on Planet Georgia, you b***h about the cold until you b***h about the heat. Hope everyone else is getting through it with little more than a little griping.

  3. So the loose distributor cap caused the timing to be off which caused the engine to overheat which made the head gasket to go bad?

Reminds me of the first line of the William Carlos Williams poem "The Red Wheelbarrow."
    "So much depends ..."

Or maybe the John Muir quote, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe."

Around here "freezing drizzle" can mean that the car doors won't open.

  4. After all the angst of the news people, we haven't seen a flake of snow. It looked like it was going south of us and I guess it did!

Here's to better weather and working cars!
