    1. Thanks ... but I'd be even more thankful if you were getting some sleep. Go snuggle with Noods!

  3. Aww, Candis, I hope you've been able to get some sleep.

My younger sisters like yoga pants (to a point; Uptight Sister has a lot of rules about propriety) but I fear they'd fit me like muffin-top pants, attracting fewer approving looks and more gentle hints from the fashion swat team regarding the existence of Spanx.

The tuck-and-lift jeans technology is an actual thing, and one of the only big favors capitalism has ever done for women over the age of 35, but I don't know how long it's going to last as this company was just sold like 10 days ago. I am always so late to any party. Some of the former Goldman Sachs people are going to be running the joint now, which makes me want to go out and scoop up every pair in my size in the tristate area before those sharks loot the assets, ruin the product and run the business into the ground, USA #1.

We are cold, windy and snowy here today, wishing you all warmth and continued butt-comfort.

  4. Looks like the ice angel's wings!

Up way too early after Wednesday night insomnia, but groceries are due between 8 and 10, so I wanted to make sure I was semi-functional.

This week was doc visit week (2 parts of 3) - regular doc = all bloodwork looks good; blood pressure still normal; dentist visit = all good, see you in 6 months. Next week is eye doc.

After a certain age, whatever that may be, it seems like we mark our time with visits to various medical folks. I know my mom does. Speaking of whom: Mom turned 80 on Tuesday and she's still going strong, thank goodness. Not a day goes by that I don't worry, as so many of my peers are losing their parents these days.

Lovely long weekend with MLK day on Monday. No contracted freelance work since I finished the last audiobook, so it's relaxation for moi.

FYI, if any of you are interested in a freebie audiobook of Blood Sacrifice, I may have a couple of promo codes. Just let me know.

    Happy Friday!!

  5. That's cool, it's like the ice is trying to mimic the bare tree branches!

Not that we have much of that, this is the first morning in several that we got below freezing.

Haha, my "take January off for writing" thing lasted almost a week longer than I expected. Churned out a new superhero story last week for the blog, and his first adventure begins today.

Hope your resolutions go more than 2 weeks!

  7. Ooh, ice dragon's crest. Beautiful! Home from a couple of weeks in New Zealand. Coming out of jetlag. Will link pics/journals when I'm done posting them.
