  1. Morning all. Warming up nicely here (upper-thirties today, upper-forties tomorrow) but the pleasure of that is being dampened (heh) by the threat of freezing rain tonight. Hope a good weekend is ahead for all.

  2. Cold done kilt my car battery AGAIN, despite this battery being only 14 months old, and the car being garage-kept and started every 48-72 hours. Come on man!

I think there's either a drain on the battery somewhere in the wiring/harness/radio, or else there's something going wrong with the way the battery is supposed to maintain charge. But it has already been to the dealer for this problem and those monkeys found nothing and I do not want to go more rounds with them, especially now that I'm out of warranty. Fortunately, E is a compulsive shopper, and I actually found a trickle charger out in the garage, brand new, still in the package, which claims it will fix my problem by just plugging it into the thing that used to be the cigarette lighter on the dashboard. I will be testing this claim shortly.

Btw, we just signed up for this organic/local grocery delivery service, which is also available to a couple of the rest of yas, so after we get a few deliveries I will post a review in case anyone else is interested. They have terrific local options and if it's half as good as it looks I'm going to be thrilled.

Hope you're all able to stay well-fed, energized and mobile. :)

  3. I got stuck on a jury right at the ass-end of yesterday afternoon, so today I must travel in to hear the whole sordid thing. And it's going to be sunny & 50 today, of course. Rain comes in tomorrow afternoon, so that's no good. Guess I'll just have to spend the weekend writing, huh?

I've had a pretty good sales month on the Zon, best in quite a while. Now if they'll point me to the 1099, maybe I can get my taxes done.

Hope everyone gets warm and stays dry out there. Unless you want to get wet.

  4. Jen, that website looks good and it delivers to St. Louis! Let us know how it works out. I find it amusing that E's compulsive shopping led her to buy a trickle charger. I'm not a compulsive shopper but if I were I'm pretty sure I would never encounter a trickle charger to compulsively buy.

We have a wintry mix right now. I'm so tired of winter. And it's only starting February.
