New Day, New Year

  1. Happy first hump day of 2014 to all. Ours started off with a smoke alarm chirping at 5:45 a.m. -- I guess it wanted to be part of the festivities and was just a bit off on its timing.

  2. It's not that I can't remember what I did last night, it was just too boring to bother remembering. New Years at the inlaws is a conundrum: there is no booze, and I must drink when they start in with the politics. Hip hop on TV a sign of the end times? Really? I finally put on the headphones and tuned them out for the last 10 minutes.

I hope everyone else had more fun than I did last night. :-P I have high hopes for the year ahead, though. And if we DO get the end times, I won't have to pay the mortgage anymore, so it's all good.

So pour a coffee, and toast 2014! Drink lots of water if you're hungover, it'll help.

  3. A happy and healthy new year to all.

  4. Eep! Now here's a good way to start a writer's year off right: a 5* review for The Sorcerer's Daughter! As this guy has been tough on many of my other books in the past, this one is doubly sweet.
