  1. Definitely a good Saturday here -- going to meet up with Mary in a town about half-way between both of us. Hope everybody else has a good day too.

    1. Thanks, Candis. And a term for me -- I didn't know it was called high key.

  4. Mary and I had a great visit. We were in Vincennes which is Indiana's oldest city (1732) and one-time home to some of Mary's ancestors.

  5. Big storms hit Indiana. Lots of tornadoes (over 20) but only bad storms here. We've lost power but we have the generator so we got off easy.

  6. Maryb here: Glad you didn't get hit. They kept warning us all morning that bad weather could pop up at any time. At 11:45 it was sunny, then at noon suddenly the wind picked up then it started raining. Right then my weather app sent off an but by that time 70 mph winds were whipping through, the rain was falling sideways and it was pretty scary. 5 minutes later it was just a drizzle. A section of my fence was knocked down. My sister, who lives 1 mile away, has chimney damage, half an ornamental tree fell over, and some siding was ripped off. Weird weather. Some of the worst storms and tornadoes hit very near the route I was driving yesterday. Glad we picked Saturday to meet rather than Sunday!

    1. Hope your sister doesn't have much trouble recovering from the damage.

We definitely picked the right day -- every time I looked at the radar, Vincennes was getting stormed on (though I don't think any of the very severe weather hit them).
