  1. Morning all. Jim and I are going to go see Catching Fire this afternoon -- first time in a movie theater since we saw The Hunger Games; so I'm guessing the next time after this will be Mockingjay part 1 in 2014.

  2. I've heard this one is better than the 1st. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

We're awaiting the oncoming storm...which is not the Doctor, though I thoroughly enjoyed the 50th Anniversary special.

I finished (finally) the final audiobook recording and am just now waiting for my publisher to approve it, then it will go into the ACX queue. I am hoping it will go live in the next couple of weeks so people can buy for Xmas.

Otherwise, things are pretty normal Chez Lima - work, home; lather, rinse, repeat. I've got the 1st three episodes of Almost Human saved to watch over this lovely long weekend. I keep hearing good things.

    How's everyone else?

  3. Andi, hope you enjoy your movie.

Maria, I saw the first episode of Almost Human thanks to June. Liked but didn't love it. But I see a lot of potential so I will keep watching.

Busy rest of the week for me!

  4. Late is better than never, but here I am either way.

Got dragged out of bed way-too-damn-early this morning to take the wife in for her knee replacement surgery. That went pretty well, and I got to see her all drugged up when they brought her in. Then I went to get the little stickers to put on my plates/tags, put them on my vehicles (all of which are two-seaters, interesting) then took a little nap. Then I went back to take the wife her iPad and check on her. She was about 70% lucid, until they brought in some pain medication that she wasn't really sure she needed. They said it was "mild," but about 15 minutes later, she was getting groggy. I think she'll want lots of happy juice tomorrow, when the therapist gets her out of bed & hobbling around on a walker. :-P As for me, I'm happy-juicing myself. Just because. 10-day weekend, is there any other reason needed?

So anyway, if today is typical, skip straight from age 54 to 56.
