  1. Last horribly hot and humid day for 2013 (I hope) morning to all. Jen, I will definitely be by for the Orphan Black posts.

  2. Hey-o!

Been at the timeshare this week. The wifi situation there is as always: requires a brief hike to get any. Came home last night, got a doc appt for the shoulder (which continues to improve, just want to verify no long-term damage) at 10. I plan to return to the timeshare after the appointment. Wife may have other plans.

One of the bars in Helen now advertises itself as a "G.I. in Germany" experience. Makes me wish I could take Whit there to see how accurate it is.

Got tons of writing done on the new serial. Our heroes will soon travel to Camac.

    1. Hey Larry I wish I could go there. When I moved into where I am now about the only thing I had left that I bought with me is a lot of pewter things that I had bought or the German family that adopted me gave me as presents. Oh an I have a lot of beer mugs, wine glasses and so on. Three mugs from Oktoberfest.

Good on getting a ton of writing done and good luck with the shoulder.

      Whit

  3. Good morning Andi and everyone,

We're supposed to be hot today too. It's only supposed to get up to 92F. As hot as it has been I was thinking yesterday that this hasn't been the hottest summer. Not once did we get up into the 100's. Makes me wonder what this winter will be like.

BTW I take it Orphan Black is some type of show. What it's about? I've never heard of it, but then again, I only get channels I can get over an antennae.

Everyone have a good day and take care.

    Whit

  4. ::pointedly ignoring how unpleasant it is outside::

Whit, Orphan Black is a Canadian sci-fi show about a woman in her late 20s who's grown up an orphan and always wondered where she came from, then discovers she has a more interesting backstory than she could have imagined and is suddenly sucked into a bunch of intrigue and conspiracy theories about that backstory. People are raving about the show's lead actress because she plays multiple roles extremely convincingly. It's on BBC-America, which I'm pretty sure is only available on cable, sorry buddy. :(

Andi, I'm glad you'll want to chat about OB, I'm especially interested in your speculation once you get into the meat of the story. :)

Maria, as you've likely gleaned by now, I've already seen OB but I'm going to do a re-watch to post about it, so please feel welcome to come on by if you want to join the threads, love to have your thoughts too. :)

Hope everyone's day is going well.

Jen, what is the link to the Orphan Black chats? I love that show and would love to be able to chat about it.
