  1. Thought of the day: perhaps cats and dogs aren't so different after all.

  2. Sorry I've been AWOL. In addition to after vacation catch up, my mom had hip replacement surgery a week and a half ago. Everything went OK - well except for a little glitch in the hospital where she ended up in cardiac ICU for a day and a half. But, after many tests, they determined that there was nothing wrong with her heart. Which is good news. She's been home since last saturday and we're all taking turns staying with her (and relieving my dad). The one thing that is clear to me in this whole thing is that it is a good thing I never thought I might want some kind of medical career because I would absolutely suck at it. :)

I've been loving the vacation pics!

Anybody else watched Orange is the New Black? I really enjoyed it. I want more TV with lots of roles for women - and women who are all shapes, ages, colors, sizes, etc.

  3. Hi Mary. Missed you. I'm so glad your mom is doing well. It must have been scary when she went to the ICU.

There are some different vacation pics here [LINK] (including ones taken by Jim) if you'd like to see some more.

  4. Mary, so glad that your mother is home and doing well. Andi, I love these! So beautiful.

As for cats and dogs, I was just reading today about a cat that ate rat poison and was saved be a transfusion from a dog.
