  1. Morning all. It's a very Liquid Water world here -- it rained all day yesterday and it looks like we're about to get more.

  2. Those pictures look a little bit like southern Alaska during winter break-up season. I don't know if it's like this anymore, but they used to get so much snow over the winter that as soon as temps hovered above freezing, everything, everywhere, would mud-n-flood for at least a week or two.

It's raining here too, cool and green and perfectly lovely outside.

    Good day to everybody.

    1. Hi Jen,

Oddly enough Alaska is one place I always wanted to go to. And even more oddly enough, I'm just about through reading the novel Alaska by James Michener. Some people don't like Michener, but I always did like his stories. I felt like I would always learn something about the places he was writing about. I bought this book many years ago so this is about the third or fourth time I've read it. I should know it by heart by now. :)

I'm glad it's perfectly lovely outside, but you stay out of the rain and you have a good day too.

  3. Morning Andi

It appears if you get it, it would still be invisible to me. Don't know if something is wrong on your side or on my side with the pictures not appearing. Same thing over at the cafe. Although, the Astronomy Picture of the Day and the Photobucket slide show still show up.

We'll be getting rain again today down here, but not much I hope.

Hope everyone has a good day and a good week ahead.

    Take care

  4. Jen, April and May are Muddy Dog Feet season around here. But I'll take because the trees are loving it and the green is wonderful.

FM, I don't know what's going on. I tried the site in another browser (IE) and the photos show up there and Jen can see the pictures. Maybe clear your cache?

  5. Liquid water. Yeah. We got four inches on Saturday, and more yesterday. Lake Lanier is at full pool, for the first time in several years.

I got stuff done over the weekend, amazingly enough. Didn't clear the list, but got the most important things done (like getting the Pickups and Pestilence eBooks formatted… oh crap, I forgot the Acknowledgement page. Easy fix, fortunately. Still, all set to go for Thursday launch!

FM, is it just this site where you can't see the photos? If it's general, you could check your settings to see if pictures aren't loaded by default. I used to use that setting in my dialup days; I could click a picture to load it.

  6. Larry it seems to be just this site. I did what Andi tried by using (IE) and it worked. The pictures came up. All the pictures and everything else seems to work in firefox with the exception of pictures here. On the top right I see her photobucket slide show, and I can see the pictures there. However, when I click the picture it's showing it takes me to her site (Andif's spring11 album) and every picture there is just a gray box.

I can see a lot of reading and trying to figure out what going on coming up. :(

  7. I did it, I did it, and I did it!!!!!!!!

I got the pictures back. After going to everywhere else, I went to firefox Tools, picked Options and then went to Contents. It has a load images automatically box. I had it checked, but to the right it had an exceptions box. I checked that and it showed me only one site that was blocked. You got it, it was Andi's picture site. I don't know how the hell it got there, but it was. Anyway I just deleted that and came back to 40 Acres and the pictures were back. Gee, I feel like such a computer wiz. :)

Still ticking, though slower than usual. Spending a lot of time doing nothing but resting.
