  1. Quiet morning after a very noisy night of pouring rain, thunder, lightning, and hail. Hope all of you had a less eventful and more sleepful night.

  2. Morning Andi,

Ours started about 2 hours ago. I don't think we've had hail, but definitely thunder, lighting and rain. This is supposed to go on until Saturday afternoon for us. One good thing is the temps will only be in the mid 70's today - woo hoo!

Hope everyone has a good day and stay dry.

  3. I slept hard all night. Wife forgot to come to bed. The recliner was still warm when I got in it this morning.

No rain here, but it's coming today. And staying through Saturday. It's supposed to be nice on Sunday (sunny and 70F). Mason's play table was full of rainwater, and he took full advantage yesterday. When I changed his clothes, only his socks were dry.

Some time overnight, Amazon reclassified Oddities to the "Short Stories" bucket, where it's at #4 in the free listings as of this morning. #1 is the first part of "Wool," so I suspect #2 is the best I'm going to do. :-)

I did manage to get a #FridayFlash up… I massively fractured a fairy tale, and put it back together. Sideways.

  4. Half a night's sleep here since the cats have this habit of trying to put me in between them and whichever thing might be scaring them, so around 3am they tried to climb underneath me all at once. Even though I'm sorta chubby these days there's still not quite enough of me for that plan.

Whit, Jones Soda is excellent. It uses "invert cane sugar" rather than high fructose corn syrup, and whenever I read the science about this I get a headache and start to dislike scientists, but whenever I have an ice-cold Jones Cream Soda with a sandwich and some chips for lunch I just have a great big happy. :)

Good day to you all, don't seek shelter under any big trees, I'll be trying to work in a nap.

  5. Morning Larry and Jen,

Larry, I guess you can just be glad Mason didn't find any mud puddles. As I remember they used to be my favorites to play in.

Jen, Jones Soda does look like it has a lot of good stuff, but I'm not so sure about the poutine soda or the turkey and gravy soda. :) Good luck on the nap.

    1. Hi Dina,

      Yep they do sound awful!

It has stopped raining here for now, but they're predicting more so I don't know. While it's not raining, I think I will go and see if I can get George to come out of his dog house. That is if the ground isn't too wet.

      Have a good one

  7. Afternoon, all!

Huge rainstorm caught me out yesterday evening as I left the mimes. Today, there is sun.

I managed to power through the last thirteen chapters of Blood Heat and finish recording for the audiobook. Tomorrow I'll finish the tech stuff & upload to the Audible site for QA. Eventually - probably by the end of the month or so, it will be available for purchase.

I'm pooped! Spending the rest of the day doing mostly nothing. :)

  8. Just got back from a day trip to Cincy to see Jim's mom (early Mother's Day). A bit of rain going, a great big bunch of rain while we there, and a goodly (badly?) amount of rain all the home. Not the best way to take a trip but it was a pretty nice day despite the weather.
