Moving Right Along

  1. Thing you learn that you should have already known decades ago: never take your elderly mother shopping for sweat pants because no matter how many you there are at Wal-mart, Target, and Kohls, there will be something wrong with each and every one of them ... and you will start thinking about how easy it would be to wring that skinny, wrinkled neck.

Morning all (yay for sales, boo for sickness).

  2. Shopping: curse of the ages

Morning, gang. Feeling a TON better today. Definitely going in to the mimes. Glad the worst part is over.

Hope everyone is staying warm & cozy!

  3. Maria, I'm glad you're feeling better.

Andi, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but since I'm not within wringin' distance, I will: your mother is right, there are no good sweatpants at those stores. Sweats are popular daily wear for me and I've been frustrated with my inability to get decent new ones, so I sympathize with you both. Here's to hoping you can find something she likes so she doesn't have to run around mooning the entire neighborhood.

    Good day to you all!

  4. Glad you are feeling way better, Maria.

Jen, we actually did find a pair that had everything she wanted in the boys department (mom is tiny) at Kohls ... except that they only came in the apparently unacceptable colors of gray, black, and navy blue. And then I gave up.

  5. Ah, there's where the snow went!

Andi, why not try a proper sporting goods store? They *might* have something she'll find acceptable. But what color does she want, anyway? Sheesh. Maybe once she, as Jen puts it, starts mooning the neighborhood, she'll settle. :-P I hate shopping with most people of the non-male gender for the reasons you gave.

Agh, Maria, norovirus! Glad to hear you're over it, though. I wonder if that's what we used to call "24-hour bug/flu" because the symptoms are pretty similar.

  6. Andi, Yoga pants. They are so comfortable! And they come in all sorts of pretty colors and patterns. Can get them at most sports stores or Kohls. :)
