  1. Bye-bye warmth. Hello winter weather -- 23 degrees and howling winds and dreary skies. Hope everybody else's day looks cheerier.

  2. "Geezer Brain: I could have sworn I left that forest right here, and if it weren't for all these damn trees, I bet I could find it."

  3. Hi, all. Insomnia fairy visited last night.

    Hope everyone else is rested.

  4. Hola, gang. Did the yearly poking & prodding doc visit with bonus!fasting bloodwork. Whee....

We're on the verge of winter again, temps nice now, but dropping rapidly. The howling winds are here, though.

    Jen, ha!!

    Dina, rest well today.

I'm hoping the day goes by fast and then it's my weekend.

  5. Forget to comment on yesterday's gorgeous picture yesterday. It was…gorgeous. I write for a living I do. The whole world is an ice skating rink here in my neck of the woods. Good soaking rain that leveled all the snow and filled all the low places with puddles, then deep freeze. Now my home is surrounded by a frozen moat of icy death. Woohoo!

  6. Hi all! Pick up sticks, it's easier than cutting them down!

High winds knocked out our power around 11:30 last night, I guess they've gone on to points north to pay a visit now. The severe thunderstorms missed us completely, but Cartersville (~40 miles west) got nailed. That's where Daughter Dearest had her student-teaching gig, so I'm glad she's closer to home. Anyway, the UPS kept the network going, and my laptop had a full charge—so I continued to fart around, I mean write, in the dark until I got tired and went to bed around midnight. Power came back on at 1:30, heralded by the lamp on the end table on the wife's side of the bed.

Dina, hope you get some rest today.

Kelly, I see… lots of writing, uninterrupted!

  7. Too much to explain so I will just sum up. Fox Sports is doing a feature on Wesley and Hockey. He's a bit of a savant when it comes to hockey knowledge. They filmed him at work, during the game and interviewed us and our now at his school. The show will be on Sunday with a preview on either today or Saturday. They will also be at the Saturday fundraiser game where there is something "very special surprise planned for Wesley" that we don't know about.

I'll send pictures and all that to you guys soon!!!!

it was really weird watching a game with a camera in your face. LOL Fans were really great about it.

This has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. Got home late due to all the filming and stuff.

    Love ya guys!!!

  8. We thought it was going to be a small blurb on the news about the fundraiser and now it's a feature on a sports show about Wesley and his world of hockey.

    Truly AMAZIN!

  9. WES! WES! WES!

  10. Wow, Janet, that's frackin' AWESOME!
