  1. Hope everybody who celebrated had a wonderful day.

We are under a blizzard warning until 7 p.m. tonight -- winds over 35 mph and between 6-11 inches of snow. I guess we won't be having one long November this winter.

  2. Yikes. I hope you're able to keep your power. Our weather forecast is ice pellets, snow, fog, snow, snow, and fog. WHEE.

  3. Morning, gang. Light snow here but possibly worse later.

Jen, Andi & Jim - stay warm & cozy!

I'm off to the mimes (whee?) and will be again tomorrow. Then, if things work out, I'll be off until next Weds.

    Cheers!

Are you going to make snow people today? :D

  5. Jen, hope your weather isn't as unkind as our is being.

Thanks Maria. Warm is not a problem as we have tons of firewood and the wood stove keeps the house very comfy.

To make a snow person, Candis, all I have to do is go stand outside for about 5 minutes. ;)

  7. We've got a foot of snow and it isn't done coming down yet. Winds are still over 20 mph with gusts in the mid 30s. Our county has restricted travel to emergency needs only. I was outside a few minutes ago sweeping snow off of our TV satellite dish, and 20-30 Sandhill cranes flew over our house just above tree top level. I was shocked that they hadn't headed south before now. Stay warm & safe if the storm heads your way. Is this one headed your way Candis?

  8. I'm not sure how much snow we have but we lost partial power for most of the day. Unfortunately it was the part connected to the furnace. They do not know what's wrong with the connection, it was just us, not the neighborhood, so now we have a power cable running through the yard for the next 1-3 weeks. WHEE.

  9. Jim - yep! Another 30cm/foot they're saying ... so that'll be about 2 1/2 - 3 feet total. Supposed to start tonight and then tomorrow. Break for a day and then more snow on the weekend. The x-country skiers and snowboarders are ecstatic.

    Andi - lol.

  10. The snow completely missed us. Normally I would be sad, but commuting to work in bad snow this week was all I needed to drive me over the edge.

I know someone who is moving from central Florida up to Bloomington Indiana this week. Guess mother nature is trying to really welcome her back to the midwest :)
