  1. Morning all. Wish we would hear something from Dina.

  2. Yikes, I hope she's OK. The news pictures are appalling. A party of kids from my eldest grandson's school flew in to NY the day before the storm hit; I think they're OK but holed up in a hotel which is not the way they hoped to spend their school trip!

It's half-term here, which means a week off school so I'm on Grandma duty. One little boy for two days at the beginning of the week and the smallest one yesterday and today. He's 4 and is autistic (PDA syndrome) which can be challenging, but he's adorable most of the time. He's designing a Lego warrior on his grandpa's computer at the moment.

I'm suddenly very busy as I had the proofs of 'A Crowded Coffin' to do last week, and on top of that heard that my 3rd Victorian cozy has been accepted - subject to some alterations. So I'm frantically working on that at the moment.

Hope everyone manages to get through the storm in one piece. Did it hit as far as Georgia, Larry?

  3. Dina is okay - yet, still without power. She was able to email once. She's just hanging in there.

Being able to get out yesterday was pretty nice, even if it was just to the mimes. I love working at home, but sometime, I need my peeps. Even made it out to the Apple store to return a power cord that I'd misordered. Not a bad day at all.

Hoping for more of the same today, especially since I have to work Friday (a special favor).

Congrats on the 3rd cozy, Nicola!!

  4. Things (like your camera) are lookin' up, Andi!

Yay Nicky on the 3rd! Good luck with the alterations. We got a couple days of wind out of the storm is all, but that was enough to wake Mason up Sunday night. "What's that noise?" "The wind." "I don't like it."

Maria, good to know you heard from Dina. Good luck with the new car! I scratched the Smart off my "next car" shortlist because of what you went through. Pity.

I put a pic of Mason in his Hallowe'en outfit on the blog this morning. He cranked the cute up past 11 & brought home lots of goodies.

  5. Andi, these fall photos are wonderful, I'm enjoying them so much. I've had a rough go of things health-wise since the spring and I've hardly been able to get outside, but this almost makes up for it, so thank you. :)

I think I saw them interviewed on the television news! I'm not sure how many student trips from England there were this week, but the kids I saw were all doing fine and had a great sense of humor about the whole thing.

omg, Larry, that child IS the world's cutest pirate. I'm glad he had fun.

Best wishes to everyone, and I hope that Dina and her kittehs are safe and dry.

  6. Where I'm at:

    Autism. Dental Surgery.

    Rinse and Repeat.

Wes is fine but ... autism and dental stuff for him don't go gently together.
