  1. Wow -- that's a bright, cheery photo to start the day. :)

I haven't been to sleep yet, so I'm saying both Good Morning and Good Night. (I was writing furiously -- up to 39,203 words now. Woo.)

  2. Hey I'm just like Dracula, Maria: I never drink ... wine*. :)

It's is a happy time, Jen. Washington state approving SSM is official now.

It would be nice to see Georgia get more purple, Larry. It would be even nicer (for me) if Indiana would too.

Sounds a little cold for the beach, Beth. Hope it warms up for you soon.

Hope you feel better soon, Nicky. And congrats on the contract for the next book.

    Sweet dreams, Candis.

    * Back in the 90s, I started having an allergic reaction to some wines and eventually just gave up drinking any.

  3. Simply Red!

Candis, that's awesome. 10K to go, and not even halfway through the month! You thinking about going for a double? ;-)

Andi, you got a sane senator, even if the presidential vote went the other way this time. That's kind of the mark of a purple state. I think we'll get more purple after most of the people my age and older croak. :-P

I let the election creep into my #FridayFlash, although it's non-partisan. And there's zombies.

    Friday! Friday!

  4. I woke up this morning to meet Rolling Jubilee and The People's Bailout, yeah baby.

Nicola, the propaganda here is astonishing and that accounts for some of the distortion on this end. FOX News, an entertainment program that masquerades as news and runs on televisions in waiting rooms and public spaces all over our country, has effectively created an alternate reality in which Democrats are roughly four hundred light years to the left of Che Guevara (lol), and in which Republicans -- who spent this election cycle arguing against birth control, in favor of rapists' rights to choose their children's mothers, and for the rich to eat the poor -- are the most moderate centrist reasonable people in all of world history (omg). Big congrats to you on book 6.

Go Candis, it's your NaNo, go Candis!

I am nowhere near 40k but still hoping to make 25k by the 15th. I've completed nearly a dozen novels, but this timeline is bringing out the most concise prose I've ever written. (In my case, that's a good thing.)

Hope everyone's Friday goes as well as possible.

  5. Wow. Tuesday was anxiety day at work. Wednesday was happy day at work. Thursday all the rabid trolls finally unearthed themselves from their crap stained couches and decided to sheet on everyone who appeared to be happy. Was so bad at work that we had to have two leads at the front end all the time. People were MEAN. Mad. Miserable. They were easy to spot.

A few females were also pretty glum. But they all had that same pinched face look about them. Like they all came from the same family pole.

I'm just really tired. Long week. Wes' mouth is still hurting him but today we meet his case manager as he finally is getting WA county services for the disabled. 3 damn years of fighting for it.

Winterhawks have put together a flier for the fundraiser game for Wes' CTP program. It's on a Saturday night against one of our big rivals (aka lots of tickets) and it's not for a percentage... it's $5 bucks per ticket sold will go to CTP. If we fill the place up... it's over 10,000 seats. I am so humbled and grateful right now. I love HOCKEY!!!!! I love PORTLAND!

I love you guys! Have a great writing Friday all you freaky freaks! :)

  6. Love, love, love this picture. May be one of my all time favorites.

Andi, if you had wine allergies, you might be allergic to sulphides which are particularly in red wine. I do and have to be careful about which wines I drink (though it isn't too bad if I do have one with - the main problem is a headache and it isn't hard to take something for that.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I know I have been sleeping a lot better since Tuesday night. Nicola, a great indictment of what is going on with Republicans is this clip by David Frum, a conservative.
