  1. Good news that the car was nothing major, Janet.

Looking forward to seeing bigger versions of the pictures, Larry.

  2. Next time I get one of these bright ideas, like doing a massive declutter, stop me, 'k? My back is in crazy pain this morning. Though, I will admit that getting this done is an enormous relief. Can't wait for the guys to pick this up on Friday morning.

I've still got a little bit to do, but I'd say 90% is done. Then I will spend some time over the weekend figuring out how to reorganize my shelves - books, collectibles, etc. That, however, is minor and I won't feel the need to do it all at once.

    Happy Monday!

  3. It's going to be a nice day for a dog-swim around here. Wish I had some dogs. And a place to swim.

Larry, it's just the one layer of wallpaper, but: 1) they stuck it directly onto the drywall so I'm having to go very carefully such as not to have to patch the drywall afterward; and b) I did not know I could just paint over it omg I would totally have done that instead. Ah well, if anyone decides to pick me up a dog and a lake, grab me a wife too while you're out, thanks.

  4. Jen, I saw this trick on This Old House and used it in my project. It works. Get a spray bottle, fill it with water, spritz the paper. Give it a minute to soak through & loosen the glue on the other side. Scrape off with a plastic spatula. Sometimes you can get a fingernail under the edge & peel off whole swatches. Peeling stuff is a personal obsession, although I don't find it as compelling to get labels off beer bottles as I would otherwise expect. (Oh, just take the dogs & the lake. The wife will find some excuse to keep you from slipping out with the dogs.)
