  1. ... continued from yesterday

Hope you got all your family work logistics running smoothly, Larry.

Yay for escaping the fireworks confrontation, kb!

Dina, I feel so sorry for everyone who has to work outside in this weather. The high today forecast for today is 104.

That sounds like a really fun documentary, Janet. I'll have to check to see if our library has it on DVD.

Thanks Candis. I love the look of those moths on green leaves.

I just keep looking at the forecast, Mary, which says the high on Monday will be 85. 85! I'm afraid it might be mirage, though.

  2. From yesterday - Candis, yep, watched both of the Cranford series. Wish there were more!

Taking my car in today for annual stuff - oil change, inspection, etc etc. Made the appointment for 8 a.m. to escape the vicious heat. I'm spending the rest of the weekend indoors and in the a/c!

    Happy Friday!

  3. Beautiful greens Andi. Love the shadow fern. :-)

    Me too Maria!

  4. Morning all!

Andi, the logistics worked out. Mason did okay until about 9:30, and then he started wanting constant interaction. I took him to the renters' place, where the triplet boys (and a 1yo girl) kept him busy until the wife got back… a jaw-dropping 15 minutes early. Experience has taught me to expect her to be an hour late, but maybe it was because I had stuff going on.

Hope everyone beats the heat. We're in our standard summer pattern now: hot & humid (yup, back to over 90% humidity), thunderstorms could cool things off in the afternoon if we get one. I'm borrowing Daughter Dearest's car today because she doesn't have to work. ;-)

  5. A joke:

The Higgs Boson walks into a church
The Priest says, we don't allow Higgs Bosons here
The Higgs Boson says, But without me, how can you have mass?

    Ba dum tssh

  6. Hi, all. Katiebird, I love that! I hope I can remember it to pass on.

Everyone, here's to keeping safe in the heat and to the end of the heat.
