  1. My Valentine's Day gift to all of you: green thoughts of spring (or else an early St. Patrick's Day post).

  2. Morning, gang!

Thanks for the pretty green, Andi. :)

Hoping to spend the day being productive in a quiet way. Mimes beckon...

  3. Oops, looks like it's time to go swipe some daffs off the roadside & bring them in!

Moss is great stuff — nice and green, loves shade, doesn't need mowing or fertilizer, and it's awfully hard to kill. And soft. I don't know why people don't use it for lawns.

I finished the story last night. Jim asked for more, so here's the next two paragraphs. More to come Friday!

The tiny dragon chittered at Mik and Sura from its place on the common room hearth, as its humans brought in their breakfast. As always, Bailar followed them with careful steps, using his staff to improve his balance. He sat as his apprentices set out dishes and covered pots. Finally, as Mik spooned eggs and sausages into their mentor’s bowl, Sura reached down.

“Are you ready for breakfast too?” she asked the dragon. It chirped and hopped into her palm, and let her carry it to the table. Its injured wing was wrapped against its body with a pinned strip of cloth. A week ago, Mik had set the tiny bones under Bailar’s instruction, as it lay in magical sleep, while Sura applied a healing ointment to the torn skin. After the first day, the dragon stopped worrying at the bandage. Sura let the dragon down between her plate and Mik’s, where it could steal a piece of egg or meat from either side as it saw fit.

It's mime time… no sleet or anything on the ground. Zooooommmm…

Farf, love tiny dragons. Wish I had one.

Hope you have a good day, Maria. And same to everyone else.

  5. Why is it that my life goes to the curb as my kids' lives get busier?

    :)

I'm still here. Just frolicking in the streets over silly things such as my right to be a woman in a country that is becoming more like the Taliban.

happy valentine's day to all. Or as some of us call it, Amatuer Day. ;P

  6. Dashing by for a quick hi. I've been helping my guy paint his rental house during the day and entertaining my family at night. It was FREEZING for two days, but now we're back to the mid 70s again, so I'm a much happier camper.

My leg has finally straightened out, after a few days of incredible pain. I think it knotted up from sitting for 13 hours straight one day last week - note to self: DON'T DO THAT AGAIN.

Hope everyone's having a good VD. I have a raincheck for my celebration, and my sis and BIL are out. So I'm working. Whee?
