  1. Gorgeous picture.

Insomnia fairy visited this morning. Oh, well, at least I got some reading done.

  2. Hope you get a nap in soon, Dina. I don't read a lot of urban fantasy but I liked Emma Bull's War for the Oaks and Holly Black's books Tithe, Valiant, and Ironside.

  3. Nifty!

Dusk always seems to be filled with all sorts of possibilities. :)

Andi, if you're going to read Urban Fantasy, Emma Bull & Holly Black are two of the best.

Hoping for a productive and quiet day @ the mimes.

    Happy Wednesday!

  4. Sundown, you better take care / If I find you've been creepin' 'round my back stairs…

Now that I've implanted the earworm, good morning!

Dina, I once heard a preacher say the best cure for insomnia was Second Chronicles. :-P Hope you don't need the reading suggestions!

Maria, I'm surprised you didn't recommend about five other titles. ;-)

    OK, mime time!

  5. OH thanks Farf, now I have a musical earworm going LOL

Finally got some anti-biotic ear drops last night. $140. Wayne had to pick it up after work as I was really not up to running out again and it still wasn't ready. My dr. is livid. We are dropping Walgrens RX as they seem to carry only the name brands and not the generics. Also, they can't seem to get a prescription done within 24 hours. I think my left ear was pretty darn close to bursting from the pressure.

So on the mend. Lost 3 days of work so far because of a stupid pharmacy.

Dr's office said that the cost of medicine is obscene right now because the makers and insurance companies want to make as much coin as they possibly can before our health care regime is finally changed.

Hope all have a good day.

  6. Oh... saw a great movie last week through streaming on netflix.

A Warrior's Way. This is why they invented big screen HD tvs! It's Tarantino meets Flying Martial Arts (ok, been there done that) and meets Fantastic Art Film without being Artsy Fartsy.

I give it 5 frozen hockey pucks. For me, it's right up there visually and story telling wise as with "The Fall".

  7. Hope you had that productive day, Maria.

Farf, I thought I had my fantasy subgenres figured out and thought Maria's books were in the paranormal category. But I can happily add them to the list of urban fantasy books I've read. I just read a lot more scifi than fantasy.

So glad to hear that you got some medication and are recovering, Janet. Sending you big virtual get-even-better-soon hugs.

  8. Back from the woods, but brought a stomach bug back with me, ugh. Hopefully it's the 24 hour kind, and I'll be better tomorrow. Hard way to end a really great couple of days rambling in the GA woods.

Jen, nice to hear from you! And yes, back in FL. St Augustine. I keep my head down and don't leave the house a lot.

Waving to all as I stumble back to bed....

  9. (I keep my head down and don't leave the house a lot.)

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's exactly what the mysogynists want you to do.

    except...

Santorum just wants you to stay in the house while you're barefoot and pregnant.

    Hope you feel better Beth!

    Thanks Andilicious!
