  1. Better stop in before I get distracted again. Drove to the Dark Side of the State yesterday to visit friends. Today I drive home, woo hoo! Funny how much I don't want to be away from home - turned into Ms. Crankypants around 9pm last night. I was done with visiting, even though these are dear friends.

The huge storms didn't materialize this far south - dunno if St Augie got them. If so, I'll be sorry I missed them.

Hope the insomnia wand has moved on, and the snow is melting, and life is good for all. Happy almost Friday!

  2. Morning, gang!

    ::waves at the traveling Beth::

Lovely ice dancers this a.m., Ms. Andi. :)

I am she of little brain this morning as I try to make sure I have everything put together for my sleep study tonight. I *am* coming home after work to eat dinner, then go, but I'm a Virgo and fret over packing.

Can't wait until it's over with!

    Wishing everyone a fabulous day.

  3. Morning all! Love how those ice flowers curl around themselves.

Beth, we got some storms. Might get some more today. Hope everything is ship-shape when you get home.

Maria, once you're there it should go pretty quick, at least that was our experience with Daughter Dearest. So pack a change of clothes, a book, and whatever else they tell you to bring. Once you're wired up, they'll turn the lights out and see you in the morning.

Both boys are up. Mrs. Fetched has them for a change. Back to the home-mimes!

  4. I love these ice garden pictures so much - I will miss them when they are gone.

Maria, good luck tonight. I hope it all goes well.

Beth, glad you are home again and enjoying it.

Waves to Farf and all others that follow.

  5. I think you're turning into me, Beth. I'm really bad about leaving home. No matter how good a time I'm having, I'm always ready to go home.

Good luck, Maria. And you are clearly not turning into me as I am a last minute packer.

Hope the storms weren't too bad there, Farf. We're getting (a little) snow and winds today.

I was surprised to get any frost flower pictures this late, Dina. But they were so small and close to the ground, it was really hard to photograph them so I doubt I'll get any more this season.

  6. What a day! We had a small amount of snow last night - about an inch. But the temperatures dropped suddenly and it all froze and all the roads became ice skating rinks. It took me an hour to get to work (usually 15 minutes)and all the way in I was passing cars that had slid off the road or into the median or were turned around and facing the wrong way. It was probably the most nerve wracking commute I've had in my life. I hope they put down something tonight because it's all going to re-freeze. Winter is here!

Good luck with the sleep study Maria. I can't imagine trying to sleep in front of people.

Everyone else stay warm (except Beth who is smart and lives somewhere warm).

  7. Ugh, that sounds awful, Mary. The snow started here late morning but they got out right away and salted so I think the roads are in better shape.
