from Land of Heart's Desire
by William Butler Yeats

Come, faeries, take me out of this dull house!

Let me have all the freedom I have lost;

Work when I will and idle when I will!

Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,

For I would ride with you upon the wind,

Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,

And dance upon the mountains like a flame.

  1. Sullying the VGW at 8:40 - it must be Sunday! I'm in chilly but pretty Boston, where it's 21 degrees (feels like 10). Survived the trip from the airport - snuggled in my friend's apt now. We'll go out later - when it's warmer - like 25.

    Relaxing Sunday, y'all. I'm off to watch football - Broncos vs. Pats today, woo hoo! I'm thinking I'll be the only Bronco fan in whatever establishment we choose to watch the game...

  2. Be careful, Beth. Those Patriot fans can be intense!

    Happy Sunday to all. Cold here so I am thinking of having a fire. I love a working fireplace.
