  1. Geezer moment! I totally forgot to comment yesterday!

    So: belated Hi to everybody.

We'll be off later this morning for our family Hanukkah celebration -- no, your calendars aren't messed up; we're doing it early because this was the only weekend when everybody could come.

Anyway, wishing everyone a fine day.

  2. Happy Hanukkah early, andi and JimF!

Very cool shot - you find the neatest stuff to photograph!

Leaving Mexico today, red eye to Boston tonight. Will see one of my best friends tomorrow, so that's good. It'll be 40 degrees, which will be less than good. So I'll soak up some extra sun this morning...

See you back in the US - have a great Saturday, y'all!

  3. Oh, wow - another amazing photo!!

Am exhausted. Work holiday party was at this nasty venue - don't really know why we went there. Open area pool hall type place. We were in a roped off area, but it was over loud and just not up to our usual standards.

That said, it was fun getting to see a bunch of former colleagues (we invite former staff) and meet folks I hadn't before (spouses/partners).

Got a bit lost getting home, but finally made it around 11 p.m. - only to have the building power go out not 15 minutes later. Oops.

Woke up at 4 a.m. to horking cat noises. Cleaned up the resulting mess then fell back to sleep until 7:30.

I think today will be a napping day.

I've got another party tonight. This one's at my small press publisher's house in Rockville - not too close, but not horribly far. Loads of friends going to that that I want to see, so I'll hie myself northward this evening.

    Happy weekend!

  4. Happy early Hanukkah, Andi.

    Beth and Maria, safe travels.

    Waves to everyone else.

  5. Hi all! And happy Early Hanukkah to Andi & Jim!

In the pic, is that a branch of holly that's still green? That spooder is going to have a little cleaning up to do, I think.

Have fun, Beth! If you haven't checked your email, I answered your query. Hope it wasn't too overwhelming. :-P

Maria, we had our party in the big "multi-purpose" room at the office. That means only current employees & contractors, but it was still fun. I hung out with a co-worker & we watched other people win the prizes. Happy naps!

    Waving back at Dina!

    Mason is demanding attention…

  6. Thanks for the hannukah wishes all. We're on our way to my mom's now.

    Farf that's a fern.

  7. Thanks, Farf! Back in the US and checking mail at LAX. Will respond soonest - catching a red-eye to Boston, but will be back online on Monday. Sleep well, all - I'll wave as I fly over your houses in the middle of the night!
