  1. What great color! Looks warm and cozy...

Had a nice Thanksgiving with friends. Not too much food, but had the requisites: turkey, gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole. Oh yeah, and pecan pie! Two kinds of wine, baked brie - just yummy. And time spent with good friends. And football! Sorry about your Lions, Farf - not a pretty game.

Today I'm working on a song, and waiting for my guy to come over. He has a gig tonight so I'll get to hear him sing, which is always a treat. And wine pouring tonight. And it's 73 and sunny - and I'm NOT out there fighting the crowds. Life is good.

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, and a fun weekend ahead. There's a craft show tomorrow downtown, so hopefully I'll find a couple of presents there. And football!

    Anyway, happy post-turkey day, everyone!

  2. Love that shot. Wanna be out there in a canoe.

Beth, yeah well, betting on the Lions is like building your house on a coastal flood plain. It'll bite you sooner than later.

Woke up from a nap with a #FridayFlash idea, so I bashed it out last night. It's about a young SIren.

  3. Morning, gang!

Beth, sounds as if you had a lovely day yesterday and more of the same today. :)

    Farf, hoorah for ideas!

My turkey breast turned out great yesterday. I'll be snacking on those leftovers all weekend long. Did the finale of the Harry Potter movie marathon and watched both parts of Deathly Hallows + some DVD extras.

Today, pretty much a repeat of yesterday: eating, reading, TV, napping - utter heaven!

    Happy Friday!

  4. Beth, Farf and Maria - all sound good.

I had a lovely Thanksgiving with both my niece and nephew there. Today is baking.

    Tired but still moving forward.

    Oh, and love this picture!

  5. Danni got a "guitarist" lesson from BOHICA last night and he played "Hallejuhah" for us at the table with her guitar.

    Was a wonderful night.

We had a young couple from my work over as well. So there was about 5 different generations at the table and they all got along so well. And YES we did talk politics, we talked about anything anyone wanted to talk about.

Hero Rats, Occupy, Hermiston Oregon "organic" watermelons and the how the children of that town still sleep with chemical accident kits under the beds. We talked of the rain and of plans. It was wonderful.

  6. Back from Cincy where we celebrated Jim's mom's 89th birthday. A good time was had by all. Jim made his mom an applesauce cake using her recipe. It was excellent.

Great sounding day, Beth, and a great sounding evening too.

But do the geese want you out there with them, Farf?

I like your plans, Maria. They sound great and after four straight days of family stuff I am ready for some lonesome time.

Hi Dina. Glad you had a good time. Hope you are baking something as yummy as Jim's applesauce cake.

Another great sounding day. You'll have to make a recording of Danni sometime and upload it so we can all her play.
