  1. My week is off to a good start. Water and the Pups. Life doesn't get much better. Thanks, Andi.

    Off to the mimes. Sigh.

  2. Lisa, I agree - pups and water! What's not to like?

  3. Okay, so I'll throw the "bah humbug" into the day. Stupid woman backed into my car this a.m.

I was stopped at a red light (in front of a business). Woman driving a fleet car didn't look, backed into the street & me. Sigh.

I think I want to go home & crawl back into bed, yo.

  4. Oh noz, Maria!!! Well, one good thing is... you weren't commuting by bike. That would have been really, really bad. (((Maria)))

Lisa, look on the bright side, you're one of the few teachers in Texas that still has a job to go to. :) That's extra cream in anyone's cuppajoe right there.

Dina, isn't Double Down Dog Dina.

I think my ice cream maker will be delivered today. I hope, I hope, I hope.

And that's my Puttin' on my Pollyanna Pantyhose for today.

Now back to my ScaredyPants: Yeah, Andi, the water looks jussss fine. I can see a bit of murky, mysteriousy misty on it. :P

  5. Just a note in case any of you are Georgette Heyer fans - there is an ebook sale of many of her books at $1.99!

  6. Sniff is sniffing that you have to go back to work, Lisa. Bebo would be too but she's too busy worrying about getting into the pond.

What's not to like? That's easy -- getting the pond muck off of them when they get out. :P

Oh Maria, that is the so crappy. I sure hope she has insurance.

You can be afraid of that water, Janet. Once you get just a bit from the edge it drops off to big depths really fast -- plus pond mud is slimy (see above).

  7. Janet - amen to that! Car > bike.

I just got back from my eye doc. Turns out my eye pressure issues (which are in addition to the inflammation) have caused nerve damage. I'm basically in the red zone - not glaucoma but in danger of. ARRGH. Got an Rx for a pressure drop that I will need to take for the foreseeable future. $25/bottle. A teeny tiny 10 ml bottle. 2 drops a day, so hoping that bottle will last a bit.

I think I am going to order dinner out and try to relax.

  8. As Lords of the New Church sang "it's sick the price of medicine" in their song President Gas

(((Maria))) there is an alternative to helping release pressure from the eyes. In fact, it's been researched alot. Mary Jane. You might want to ask your doctor about it and it might help in conjuction with pharmecuetical help.

  9. I grew up on Georgette Heyer - thanks for the heads-up, Dina!

Big hugs, Maria. :( Hope you can figure out a more natural solution for your eye issues. And bah humbug on people who drive carelessly...

Made it safely to Florida this evening, and spent the evening walking dogs and catching up with my friends. Tomorrow I learn the details of house- and dog-sitting, and then Wednesday begin my duties. There are worse places to spend a week with two Labs than St. Augustine.

I think I'll need a dip in that lake, andi - it's been a while since I've felt humidity, and it's kinda high right now.

Time for bed - really really late. Night all - here's to a better tomorrow!
