A Summer Love Poem
by Nikki Giovanni

Clouds float by on a summer sky
I hop scotch over to you

Rainbows arch from ground to gold
I climb over to you

Thunder grumbles, lightning tumbles
And I bounce over to you

Sun beams back and catches me
Smiling over at you

  3. If one Dina is good, two Dinas must be bettah :)

Just spoke to the surgeon, and I tried to talk myself out of all this. Told myself it doesn't hurt too bad, it doesn't hurt all the time and blah blah blah. Doctor said we're not going to hassle with Sunday morning ER bullhockey and he's admitting me right now. Wayne's on his way home.

This isn't really all that bad. It's not like kidney stones while pregnant or anything. I actually feel kinda stupid... and then a pinch happens and my back aches... but I didn't take any of that stinky vicodin.

I'll be on the injured reserve list but I don't think it'll hamper anyone's vacation plans.

Gearing up for hockey season and bought myself something I've wanted for a log time: I went ahead and finally ordered THE waffle maker, a Waring Professional WMK300A, along with a great waffle cookbook. "Global Vegan Waffle Book" can see alot of the recipes on their site. Waffles for breakfast, after school snacks and dinner. As well as dessert.

Andi, when I was getting my last ultra sound, a magazine, I think it was Entrepenuer, was laying on the table and the cover was of your niece's Sweet Revenge. :D

  4. Twice is nice, Dina.

Janet, sending you masses of good vibes, internet hugs, and wishes for a quick return home in mint condition. And yeah, having a niece on a national magazine's cover (and yep, Entrepreneur) is quite a hoot. :)

  5. Thanks for the double kindness, but I really could take the computer not doing this every day.

Janet, sending massive good thoughts your way. Hope you are off the injured list soon.

  6. Janet take care, and be a good patient.

Dina, hope your 'puter problems go poof.

Got a ride in before the heat of the day. Installed the new Mac OS on my laptop, one minor file sharing glitch solved by Andi. We spent some time on the semi-decadal task of washing the outdoor furniture. Grilling flank steak tonight which means steak salad later in the week.

Everybody, hope your day's been pleasant too.

  8. Hi All, I'm Danni Janet's daughter, the surgeon called our house about 15minutes ago, her opertaion went very well and we'll be heading over to see her in the recovery room. She has to spend the night but if all goes well she should be coming home sometime tomorrow, I want to thank you all for the support for my mom, it means a lot to her and to my family. :) Take care.
