The Open Road is Closed

  1. What's at the end of the road? There, just past the lush tree bending to meet it. Can't tell? Neither can I. It's rife with possibilities.

    Happy Solstice, y'all!

Did you see the Google Doodle today? Lovely piece of art by Takashi Murakami.

I'm reluctantly @ the mimes. My OMG wake up at 5:30 was squashed by ingestion of Benadryl last night. A half dose, but boy, does it knock me out. Woke up groggy and am in need of caffeine. ::props eyes open::

Hope you all manage to have a fabulous solstice!

  2. Is that a barricade down there?

Blackberry pie at my place! Go have a look, anyway…

  3. Farf - blackberry pie!?!?! I wonder how long it would take to get there.

Lovely picture with many possibilities - so long as it isn't water at the end.

Maria, loved the Google. Hope you are awake and feeling better.

    Waves to all.

  4. Mmmm blackberry pie, my favorite! Marionberry pie is my favorite, too. So is strawberry rhubarb pie. And pumpkie pie....

Today is my interview for the new store. I feel like I'll be interviewing them more. I have a good thing going on where I'm at especially with 3 days off in a row (almost unheard of in retail). But it's a bit closer to home. I can walk/ride a bike if I feel like it and soon I hope to be feeling like it.

Farf, I really like that journalist story! Thanks for sharing it. You should be rich and famous. :)

Weather freaks: Gorgeous day here in Portland and Beaverton. Brilliant blue skies and should get to 82 today. 11:30 to 7:30 shift for me. Tomorrow it's a true 9-5. Then I'm off Thursday to go to Taj Mahal concert at the Oregon Zoo with my dude.

    Ciao for Niao!

  5. What's there, Maria, is whatever you want to be there. Or if you're in the mood for reality, it's a bunch of canoes and kayaks. :)

Nope, Farf, no barricade. But you might have to bar the door to keep me out of that scrumptious-looking blackberry pie. Salmon looks fine too.

You're safe, Dina. There's water to the left but none at the end.

Good luck with the interview no matter what you decide -- it's always good to have good choices. And Taj Mahal -- I am jealous. I I've got some albums of his that are as old as you are. :)
