  1. What a great title, Andi. I love the forground--background depth of the picture.

So glad it's the weekend. Hubby gone camping, so may get a better night's sleep tonight. He was restless and shifting all night.

Have gotten words in. Tomorrow will make 50 days of 50 word goal. Then need to change gears and do some story and character work.
Will get more editing done today--woohoo.

Maria, great you got some words done on story. Pushing through the log jam feels good.

Jim, Hope you are feeling better this weekend and can fully recover being under the weather.

    Beth, enjoy your travels north.

Waves to all and off to be a bum for a bit before hitting the keyboard for the morning.

  2. Ooh, I love the mist on the water.

Morning from Boston. Cloudy and 69 today, but it's not snowing, so I'm not complaining! No clue what our plans are - touristy stuff and football, I believe. Finished the song on the plane yesterday, but no other writing time in the near future.

Enjoy the quiet while you have it, Lisa!

Hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend - or just hanging out at home and relaxing. Or writing!

Off to find coffee - I'm back in Dunkin Donuts land, woo hoo!

  3. 50x50! Way to go, Lisa.

Have a great time whatever you end up doing, Beth.

And to all those people who have found something better to do this Saturday than coming by here: :P

  4. Daily Catch in the North End, andi. Black pasta with calamari. Details at my place tomorrow. THANK YOU - YUM YUM YUM! Though my garlic breath might be a wee bit offensive for the next, oh, week. :-)

  5. Lisa, I tried going in on Thursday and lasted about an hour and a half before I called for a sub for the rest of the week. I think that was the first time I've ever missed that much school in a year, let alone a week. I'm forcing myself to be as inactive as possible this weekend, but have to get some school work done tomorrow.

Beth, I envy your garlic breath. I love that restaurant.

  6. Wish you could have some of this garlic, Jim - it'd cure you in a flash. Take care of yourself! And thanks for the recommendation - we only had to wait 15-20 min. What a great place! And a cannoli from Mike's for desert...

  7. Oh first Nancy and kb, then Lisa and now black pasta and calamari. My jealousy is out of control.

But I'm very, very happy you liked it because I love that place.

It's funny you mention the garlic because that's how I found the Daily Catch in the first place -- I was walking past (was there for work and going to another place for dinner) and the door opened and the lovely aroma of garlic came wafting out and I actually did a stop-on-a-dime turnaround to see what place this was and then said to my companion "Next trip, I'm eating there".

  8. I wondered how you found it, andi, since it's so tiny. We oohed and aahed the entire meal, and I told the waiter that my friend from IN told me to go there. It was stellar!! You guys can be my travel agent/tour guides from now on!

  9. That's about it for me and downtown Boston restaurants -- all the other places I know and like are much farther north (like the Sea Witch or Ristorante Molise).

I guess I have doing pretty good -- woyj Arches hikes, Salida, and now the Daily Catch. I think I should stop while I'm pitching a perfect game. :)

  10. Hmmm, weird typo -- somehow what was supposed to be "with" came out "wojy".

  11. You're batting 1000, andi - do you know anything about Arizona? :-)

  12. Well I know that Phoenix is the ugliest city in America and leaving is the best thing about it, Tucson is much better but I'm happiest when we're north of the Mogollon Rim.

So I guess the answer is "depends on where you're going and what you want to know".

  13. Quick hi to all. Just broke fast (not that I really fast - migraines result) with my brother and SIL. Another year has begun.
