  1. ... continued from yesterday.

I saw those pictures too, Mary. I really want us to get some rain but that's just a tad more than I'd like to see.

    ... back to today.

Another upper 90s day ahead with no chance of rain. The woods like they've been singed.

  2. I think the fairies and wood sprites are on vacation in the mountains or some place cool. Maybe they need to follow Beth.
She seems to find cool spots.

104 yesterday and supposed to be the same today and this weekend. So Andi, enjoy your 90s.

Last day of Freedom for me. Tomorrow I go to Austin and help daughter bring stuff back after school ends. Brother will have charge of the herd for a couple of days.

Find some shade and a cool drink.
    Fabulous Friday to All.

  3. We got some rain last night (but nothing like Maria's) & the temps are supposed to stay below 90 for the weekend. Unfortunately, Mrs. Fetched had left the roof off the doghouse, so Crissy herded the pups (8 not 9 BTW) into a dig hole & laid on them to keep them mostly dry. Mrs. Fetched went out with a towel and replaced the roof. One of them is already a walkabout — I'm STILL trying to figure out how it got through the fencing.

Waving… time to get to the mimes.

  4. Morning, gang! I'm trying to imagine myself in the pretty pretty woods, instead of here, in WTF Weather Central.

More insanity last night with another powerful storm (this time a little north of me). Expecting some more rain today, without the storm part.

    Glad I'm home!

Hope everyone has a special Friday the 13th (in a good way!)

  5. With the much higher humidity we have, Lisa, our heat index is way over 100 so I'd say we're equally miserable. Also, sorry about the last day of freedom. :(

Now isn't that a good mommy -- keeping her kids dry like that. My mom would have only done that is her beauty shop appointment was within an hour. :)

The weather gods are really stinkers, Maria. Flood you, drought us.

  6. And stellar weather here. Sorry guys - wish you were here to enjoy 70's and sunny. It truly has been a whacky summer. Come back to SD, Maria!

Puppy pix, Farf? Or did I miss them at your spot - I'm behind in my blog reading...

Beach, shopping, walking, eating...typical vaca day ahead. Hope you all are staying as cool as possible - fall will be here before you know it! Let's hope for a nice one.

    Drive safe, Lisa!

  7. Considering all the rain we had most of June and July, who would have thought we'd be begging for a little rain right now? But this heat is just drying everything up.

Going to go to one of my book clubs tonight for the first time in almost a year. My "year off" isn't up but they read Nancy's book (Scent ...) this month so I thought this one might be fun. :)

  9. Yeah, I guess I wouldn't gripe if you sent me a storm this time, Mary. Have fun talking about Scent.
