  1. Monsters in the Woods Oh My!!
Though I'm a tree hugger so not too scared.

    Andi, Enjoy Girl Time!!!

Woke up to balloons and Happy Birthday signs by the coffee pot. Life doesn't get much better.

Think a trip to IKEA to look for coffee table is the plan for today. Not too expensive and good designs. Even have some solid wood.

Maria enjoy the post Galley weekend.

Farf, hope you get to enjoy some of the days off before the Mrs. hands over The Honey-Do List.

Nicky--You are a brave and wonderful Granny. I'd pick the trip to Greece myself.

Off to do some typing in and then enjoy a bit of birthday whim.
    Sensational Saturday to All.

  2. Okay, Lisa, I've been running full tilt. Did I miss that it's your birthday today? If so, HIPPO BIRDIE! If not, then consider it an early gift. Balloons are a great way to wake up!

Easy day yesterday - easier day today. Just to Rochelle, IL (outside of Chicago) and then a week with my friend Lori. Hopefully work will appear, and I'll be productive and relax, all at the same time.

Great picture, andi (although you're off with your GFs and not reading this). I love the things you see!

And the Celtics won last night, woo hoo.

Off to drive for 5 hours. Happy Saturday, y'all!

  3. Ahahaha!!! EX-TER-MINATE!

Andi, I'm cracking up over the tree Dalek. hee!

Lisa - w00t, IKEA FTW. Enjoy your trip.

Beth - as always, safe travels.

I'm planning on spending the day being a totally lazy. Finishing up reading Jaye Wells' THE MAGE IN BLACK, then some season 1 ER (still holds up!). Perhaps some nappage will be achieved.

  4. Where's a sonic screwdriver when you need one?

Had a nice IM with Katiebird last night, we talked ebook readers primarily. Mason's up early, so we are too… later!

  5. Just sneaking for quick hello to everybody. Having great time; wish everyone were here. :)

Glad you all like the picture. I would have hated it if no one had got it. :D

  6. Where's that Tardis when you need it? All we've got on hand is this ridiculous knitted scarf, and it's going to be 90 degrees today!

  7. And Happy Birthday from me too! Hope the Ikea trip went well, we went to our local one yesterday, for coffee and to please the baby who loves the place! Drizzly day today (it's a Bank Holiday weekend so of course the hot weather has vamoosed) so we took a picnic (which we ate in the car) to Mottisfont Abbey http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-mottisfont?campid=V0509PS14, and then wrapped up in waterproofs and tramped round the wonderful grounds.
Surviving the weekend so far, but husband has put his back out so I have 4 of them to look after. Guess which one isn't getting much sympathy??

  8. Happy bday, Lisa!

Back from Mayhem in the Midlands convention in Omaha. Guess what? Our Dina's late mom--whom everybody loved at these conventions--now has an important guest of honor position named after her! "Her" guest this year was mystery author Steve Hamilton. He was the Caroline Willner Special Guest.
