  2. LOVES the purple and the yellow, Andi.
Got busy and couldn't comment yesterday.
Daughter came home for the two weeks--it was like unloading a clown car, she'd stuffed so much in.

    Beth, Safe travels after closing.

Farf, hope you have some pretty weather for bike riding.

Spring storms and then HEAT is the pattern here these days.

    Wonderful Weds. to all.

  4. Daughter's home, Lisa? Perfect -- now you've got someone to type in all those edits for you. :)

Bummer, Dina. But I see a nice nap in your future.

  5. Gorgeous purple for Beth's day!!

Dina, bummer about the insomnia fairy. Hope you can send her somewhere she's wanted. ::g::

Lisa, glad your girl is home.

Beth, may the moving/closing fairies bestow only the best of days on you.

Remember how I was planning to take off the week from writing? Yah, not so much. First the galley proofs for BLOOD HEAT arrived, then I got an offer to pitch a YA proposal--next week. I do have a great idea for a YA book/series, but wasn't really planning on tackling a proposal quite yet. Ah well, I guess it's all part of the glamorous life of the writer!

In other news, my new Web site launched yesterday. It's designed by a lovely lady in Germany, name of Frauke. She's great! (FYI, all the old links that you guys have still work. I've pointed them to the new site.)

Wishing you all a fabulistic Wednesday!

  6. Wow, quiet day.

Your website looks fantastic, Maria -- striking looking and very easy to navigate.

  7. Love your new site, Maria, and how appropriate that it's purple!

Beth, ready, set, go! With our love.

Dina, you need an Insomnia Fairy Fly Swatter. Oops, sorry, Tinkerbell.

Hey, Lisa and Andi and all who come to partake of the purple.

  8. I know it's not Sunday, but I thought this would be appropriate for Beth…

Closing time - Open all the doors and let you out into the world
Closing time - turn the lights up over every boy and every girl.
Closing time - one last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey or beer.
Closing time - you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.

    Take me home...

Closing time - time for you to go out to the places you will be from.
Closing time - this room won't be open 'til your brothers or your sisters come.
So gather up your jackets, and move it to the exits - I hope you have found a friend.
Closing time - every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end, yeah

    Take me home...

  9. A royal purple day to you, Nancy.

Perfect serenade for Beth, Farf. I hope she gets a chance to stop by so she can enjoy it.

  10. Thanks for purple, good wishes, love, and Farf's song...that's a great one, although I don't recognize it.

The day is over, and it went swimmingly. Except the new owners were irritated that the freezer doesn't poop out ice fast enough for them, sigh. My realtor called the fix-it guy as I zoomed out of town. you think they'd be more worried about the hot water heater that could have exploded and burned the house down...

Everything went well, and I'm on the road again - and, as my friend Kathryn the wine store owner said, I'm officially homeless again. And I'm celebrating! (Yes, I know, I'm unique. That's a nice way of saying weird.)

No insomnia here - Dina, move everything you own into a storage shed in 94 degree heat, and I guarantee a good night's sleep!

Will check out your new site tomorrow, Maria - if it's purple, you know I'll love it!

I'm staggering off to bed. Feels good to be on the road again, visiting friends, and free of worrying about pool chemicals and mowing the lawn....

Night all! Dizzney tomorrow - Pirates of the Carribean, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain- pictures will follow!

Lots of love to my blog family, and thank you for your support...

  11. Beth, glad your day went so well!!

Dina - gee thanks! The insomnia fairy made her way to my place. Wouldn't be quite so bad if I was heading in to Friday and a day off... At least I'm spending my time working on the proposal. :)
