All that Glitters

  1. Oops, can't wait for Lisa to post, since she's out at their property. Guess I have to brave the VGW this morning!

Eaten up by no-see-ums at the beach yesterday, so woke up at 5am with burning legs. (Bad words, bad words.) Days of itching and a month of wounds and a few scars follow - grrrr. Brought bug spray, but who needs it at the beach?? Sigh.

I LOVE this picture, andi!! It's almost surreal, the blurring of the reflection in the water. You've outdone yourself.

Chores and music today. Maybe some college football. And trying not to scratch my legs.

Enjoy some fall colors for me, folks!

  2. From yesterday: Andi, dinner was spinach and ricotta ravioli in a light alfredo sauce with baked meatballs and a garden salad. And not that you asked about the music but it was a Motown kind of day. :)

Today I can scarcely even see any grass in the yard due to nature deciding to strip leaves all night last night, may the gods bless our John Deere tractor with the yard-sweeper attachment, ramen.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

  3. Ooooooo, pretty picture! Crop off the bridge & leave the reflection, and it could easily be mistaken for a watercolor.

Too much going on today, and none of it is related to Mason. I didn't think Mrs. Fetched's mom would try to do Moonshine Festival this year, having just come out of the hospital, but I keep underestimating the sheer bullheadedness there… after 20-very-odd years, I should know better.

Sprite knows that Daughter Dearest is around, he keeps trying to haul his fat cat belly up the door to look for her.

Gotta go… will ping in later.

  4. Ohhhhh, so lovely! I love the contrast between the watery reflection of the leaves and the start perfection of the dock itself. Then add on the watery dock and oh my! Beautiful!

  5. Oh Beth, I love how you took your vorpal sword and defeated the VGW. Maybe you can use it on the no-seeums next.

Yum, yum, yum, Jen. Let's go eat it up on the roof. :)

Farf, that mix of trees is more diverse than I would have thought so I'm guessing you've got some great color coming. And I hope you can keep up with your m-i-l at the Moonshine Festival.

CF, that new dock the camp put in this year has just been a treasure trove of pictures. I can't wait to see what kind of shadows I get this winter when the lake freezes over.
